What is the Zentech Spine Procedure?

December 2, 2023

State-of-the-art techniques aim to alleviate pain, restore mobility, and enhance patients’ overall quality of life. In this blog on spinal fusion techniques, we’ll focus on Zentech, an outpatient surgical solution we incorporate into the TPC Spine Fuse.

What is Zentech Spine?

Zentech Spine is a medical device manufacturing company that offers minimally invasive solutions for patients suffering from lower back pain. Their conservative methods treat spinal stenosis, spinal instability, and degeneration with solutions for lower back pain conditions.

What Does Zentech Spine Do?

Zentech offers the Zentech Spine Procedure, which uses allograft implants placed into the lumbar intervertebral joints to re-establish natural joint orientation and space out joints to reduce inflammation. It works to stabilize the spinal segments and minimize pain by limiting motion.

What Kind of Devices does Zentech Spine use?

The Zenfuze Lumbar Fusion System is the primary device manufactured and distributed by Zentech Spine. It contains no metal, is minimally invasive, and offers excellent patient pain relief outcomes.

How Does TPC Utilize Zentech?

TPC Spine Fuse utilizes Zentech as one of its distinct minimally invasive surgical solutions for patients with conditions of spinal degeneration related to spinal stenosis and spondylolisthesis.

TPC Spine Fuse targets spinal degeneration, usually brought on by stenosis, spondylolisthesis, and related conditions. It works to alleviate pain due to pressure on the spinal cord and instability that causes painful movements of the vertebrate.

In this procedure, a small incision goes into the back under live X-ray guidance. A device is placed between the spinous processes that fuse the segment. This gives the back stability, where the bones shift forward and backward. Our procedure can also be done through alternative approaches (a posterior, oblique, or lateral approach) depending on each individual’s needs.
