Subsequently, Versan graduated from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine in 2011. She then completed her residency in anesthesiology and fellowship training in pain medicine from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
Versan decided to become a physician because both of her parents had careers in the health care field. She spent countless afternoons at their respective jobs, which gave her ample opportunity to interact with patients and better appreciate the bond between patients and health care providers. Versan chose anesthesiology and pain medicine because both specialties allow her to perform procedures and follow a patient's progression over time.
The opportunity to improve someone's quality of life is what she enjoys most about treating patients. For Versan, seeing a patient's progression and watching them gradually improve over time is an invaluable experience. When she’s not treating patients, Versan is spending time with her husband and daughter. Versan enjoys watching movies, going to restaurants, and attending sporting events.
