Q. What are you most excited about in working for The Pain Center of Arizona?
A. Iʼm excited about the great group of well-trained physicians that Iʼm joining. I feel that they are all very well established and experienced and have done a great job at treating most pain disorders in helping patients become better in regards to their pain disorders.
Q. What do you like about treating patients with pain?
A.I enjoy treating patients with chronic pain. It is a complex disorder that many physicians shy away from treating. However, it is a major worldwide problem therefore chronic pain patients sometimes get left out and donʼt get the treatment they deserve, and thatʼs why I am so pleased to be helping patients relieve some of their symptoms of pain.
Q. Where is the future of pain management going? Are there positives?
A. I definitely see lots of positives. Pain is the number one ongoing reason why patients are going to any type of physician. I feel with the aging population and better healthcare I do feel patients need better pain management and better pain control for the future.
Q. Is there any one specific area of pain management that is your focus or that you have a special interest in?
A.I have a great deal of interest in neuromodulation (spinal cord stimulation therapy). I feel like that is the future of pain medicine. I feel that a lot more indications are going to come out for neuromodulation including headache work which I am extremely interested in pursuing.
