If you are familiar at all with highly respected Arizona pain doctors or The Pain Center of Arizona, then you’ve probably heard or met Dr. Steven Siwek. He is that mastermind, the genius, behind this organization and the compassionate, professional team of pain specialists who dedicate their lives to getting patients back into life.

Dr. Siwek has been featured on The Doctors explaining the use of an Eon Mini Neurostimulator, a device used for chronic back pain. He’s been on Your Life A to Z here locally to share his experiences with pain management. He’s been featured in a multitude of magazines, news articles, and local news shows, but his true passion and joy comes in two forms, treating those who live with chronic pain, and sharing uplifting stories about recovery and pain management success.

Dr. Siwek – Pain Specialist History

Dr. Siwek graduated in 1994 from New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York. From there he spent his residency in Scottsdale at the Mayo Clinic, as well as the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. His fellowship was spent at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida.

For many years, Dr. Siwek has been educating the public on chronic pain conditions through public speaking, TV appearances, video production via the PainChannel.tv, and authorship. His passion has always been to relieve patients of their chronic pain, and get them back into life.

Dr. Siwek has an active role in the pain management community. He is a member of the American Society of Anesthesia, the American Society of Regional Anesthesia, the Interventional Spinal Injection Society, and the Society of Pain Practice Management. He is also a leading partner with the HOPE Research Institute, conducting unique pain-focused clinical trials to help the entire pain management community better understand the role of pain in a patient’s life.

Dr. Siwek – Medical Director of The Pain Center of Arizona

In 2002, Dr. Steven Siwek opened the doors of The Pain Center of Arizona for the very first time. Our first location was in Phoenix at the John C Lincoln Medical Offices. The focus then, as it is now, was to provide an integrated team of medical professionals, and a multidisciplinary approach to pain management. Simply speaking, Dr. Siwek wanted The Pain Center of Arizona to be a place where patients could be treated for all aspects of their pain, from physical therapy to psychological counseling, surgical intervention, occupational therapy, medication management, specialized diagnostic procedures, and home health care.

Since 2002 and that one location in Phoenix, The Pain Center has grown to serve patients all over the valley, including locations in West Phoenix, Surprise, Anthem, Biltmore, Paradise Valley, North Scottsdale, and Mesa. And, now, with our Gilbert location we can better assist those living with chronic pain in the lower east valley.
